Oracle Real Application Cluster(RAC) + Active Data Guard
This is an intensive hands-on training in Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC).
It teaches you about the Oracle Grid Infrastructure products, including Oracle Automatic Storage
Manager (ASM), and Oracle Clusterware. You will also learn to administer the Oracle
Clusterware and storage products using both command line utilities and graphical tools using
both command line and graphical user interface clients. You'll learn how to use Oracle Data Guard to help protect the database
against planned and unplanned downtime. Explore how Data Guard standby databases can be used to support production functions
such as reporting, querying and testing, while in a standby role.
This course will provide you step by step guidance to create a 2-node RAC environment and disaster recovery infrastructure using Oracle Active Dataguard. You'll get hands-on training administering cluster databases using
Enterprise Manager and command-line utilities like SRVCTL, CRSCTL, ASMCMD and SQL*Plus. You will learn how to leverage the Oracle Clusterware to make applications highly available, supporting monitoring and failover to other nodes
If your target is learning all about the fundamentals
of Oracle RAC and Data Guard administration with concentration on the practical side, then you are in the right place. This class is roughly equivalent to Oracle University course
Oracle
Database 12c:RAC Administration and
Oracle Database 12c:Dataguard Administration
but focuses only on essential topics and eliminating time spent on material not directly relevant.
Each student will build their own cluster on a LINUX Platform.
